Lifeline Visits Holy Family College
Do I have my mask, are people coming too close to me? Do they have Covid? Thinking about these problems creates anxiety and stress. Life has become disconnected. We are hearing a lot of fake and negative news. What do we believe? There is uncertainty in not knowing if the end date of this pandemic is near. “Are we wearing a mask underneath a mask?” We need to take the mask off and say “I’m not ok!!” Have faith, trust in your God! Trust in your teachers, mentors, and those who love you and trust in yourself.
Mrs Kimberly Kemp of LifeLine Durban highlighted the difference between fear, anxiety, depression and anger at an Assembly in the High School, and the different techniques to work through these feelings. LifeLine exists to facilitate the emotional wellness of individuals and communities through skills development and community involvement, responding to many “cries for help” resulting from people dealing with fear, hurt and anger.
Lines operate 24 hours/7 days per week
