By SACBC – The Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelisation announced that Fr Wellington Ncedo Siwundla, the Liturgy Father and the Head of Pastoral Department at St John Vianney Seminary, has been appointed as the New Rector of St John Vianney Seminary, Pretoria.
Fr Siwundla joined the National Seminary first 2010 as a formator and in 2012 went for further studies in Rome. He rejoined the seminary in 2015. Fr Siwundla celebrated 15 years as a priest on December 1.
The new rector is from the Diocese of Mthatha, under Bishop Sithembele Sipuka, the current president of the SACBC.
The Apostolic Nunciature, the Dicastery in Rome and the SACBC wishes him all the best for his work in this important service.
