Sister Carole Ann Walton CSJ Celebrates her 60th Jubilee

Sister Carole Ann was born in St Louis, Missouri.  She entered the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet in 1962 and was received into the novitiate in 1963 as S. Robert Paul. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Avila College (now University) in 1973.

Sister Carole Ann began her 40-year ministry in health care as a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood in the late 1960s. After earning her B.S. in nursing from Avila College in 1973, she served as parish nurse for St Matthew Parish (1973-1974) and at Nazareth Living Centre in Oakville as a staff nurse (1974-1977).

For the next 20 years, Sister Carol served in Augusta, Georgia at St Joseph Hospital-Centre for Life.  She was a Home care nurse (1977-1991) and then an orthopaedic Service Coordinator/RN Ambulatory Care nurse. Sister Carol was a home care nurse with Jefferson County Patient Care Services in Hillsboro and a registered nurse at Project Hope in Potosi, Missouri from 1993 to 2006. The following year she was dedicated to family care.

Since 2007 Sister Carol Ann has continued her ministry as office manager at Augusta Therapy Services for Children in Georgia.
