The Southern Cross attended the 2024 plenary session Mass & dinner last night. Many of the bishops expressed their happiness at the magazine’s role in the Southern African Church, “To evangelise through the dissemination of information that will build the local Church”, as one bishop put it. Present among the attendees was Mr Dan Marokane, the incoming Eskom CEO. The bishops made a special prayer for him to “be guided by the holy spirit as he embarks upon this most important task for our country at the beginning of April”.
