King and Queen of Lesotho 25th Wedding Anniversary
By Bokang Tsoanamatsie – King Letsie III and Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho commemorated their 25th wedding anniversary on February 18, 2025, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victories. The Holy Mass was officiated by His Grace Tlali Gerard Lerotholi OMI, with His Excellency John Joale Tlhomola SCP, the Bishop of the Diocese of Mohale’s Hoek, serving as co-celebrant. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Prime Minister of Lesotho, the Honorable Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane.
During his homily, His Grace Lerotholi emphasised the significance of family life, stating that the essence of home is often associated with the nurturing presence of a mother. He noted that the warmth and love found at home are cherished by all. His Grace extended his congratulations to Their Majesties on their Jubilee, highlighting that their union has been blessed with three children.
King Mohato Bereng Seeiso wed Karabo Motsoeneng on February 18, 2000, in a ceremony led by the late Archbishop of Maseru, Bernard Mohlalisi OMI. The royal couple is the proud parents of three children: Princess Senate Mohato Seeiso, Princess Maseeiso Mohato Seeiso, and Prince Lerotholi Mohato Seeiso. Their Majesties are devoted Catholics and active members of the St Louis congregation, with Queen Mother Masenate Mohato Seeiso also participating in the St Anne Sodality.
