Recovery and Victory Seminar at Mater Dei Pastoral Centre

Recovery-and-Victory-Retreat

Hosted by Bishop Victor Phalana and the Diocese of Klerksdorp in collaboration with the Diocese of Polokwane. 16–20 December 2025 | Mater Dei Pastoral Centre

“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” — John 10:10

Step into a transformative journey of renewal, empowerment, and healing. This retreat invites all who seek spiritual strengthening, personal restoration, and abundant life in Christ. Guided by  His Lordship Bishop Victor Phalana and esteemed pastoral leaders, the experience is thoughtfully designed to support your whole being — body, mind, spirit, and purpose.

Theme: Recovery and Victory

In a world profoundly affected by emotional distress, financial uncertainty, and shifting faith landscapes, the Church responds with hope. This seminar focuses on three essential pillars of human flourishing:

New Evangelisation

Reignite your mission as a disciple of Christ. The Church calls every believer to live and share the Gospel with renewed courage, creative expression, and joyful conviction in a changing world.

Mental Health

Many are burdened by anxiety, trauma, and life’s pressures. This retreat provides a compassionate space to understand and strengthen mental well-being, acknowledging that spiritual growth, inner, emotional and psychological healing are deeply interconnected and essential to flourishing.

Financial Stewardship and Spirituality

Financial stress affects individuals, families, and communities. Learn responsible, faith-based approaches to financial stability and generosity, rooted in Catholic tradition that sees stewardship as a path to dignity, freedom, and service.

A Grace-Filled Experience

The programme includes:

  • Daily Mass — nourishment through the source and summit of our faith.
  • Healing services – receiving Christ’s restoring love.
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation  – freedom through God’s mercy.
  • Deliverance ministry – breaking spiritual strongholds through the power of prayer.
  • Adoration – encountering Christ through profound silence.
  • Ministry of prayer Groups – strengthening community and intercession.
  • Empowerment workshops and testimonies
  • Communal worship and fellowship

This retreat is an invitation to rediscover your identity in Christ, rise beyond challenges, and claim the abundant life God intends. Join us at Mater Dei Pastoral Centre for five days that will shape your faith, your wellbeing, and your future.

Come and be renewed. Come and be victorious.
