Fr David Sefiri Motsepe Appointed Vicar-General of the Archdiocese of Pretoria

The Archdiocese of Pretoria has welcomed the news of  Archbishop Dabula Anthony Mpako’s appointment of Father David Sefiri Motsepe as the new Vicar General and Bursar of the Archdiocese of Pretoria.
 
Fr Motsepe assumes two senior administrative positions in the Catholic Church in Pretoria. The Vicar General assists the Archbishop in the governance of the archdiocese, while the Bursar is responsible for financial administration and the management of diocesan resources.
 
 Fr Motsepe has previously served in several roles within the archdiocese, including as parish priest of St Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Sunnyside and interim parish priest of the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Pretoria. Before entering the priesthood, Fr Motsepe studied engineering and graduated in the field. After his ordination, he pursued further studies at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya.
 
 He is a descendant of the Bakgatla-ba-Mmakau traditional community in  Mmakau, North West Province. He is also an alumnus of Tsogo High School,  also in Mmakau, a Catholic institution established through the work of the Stigmatine Fathers and the Sisters of Mercy. His appointment was announced by Archbishop Mpako as part of the new leadership structures of the Archdiocese of Pretoria.
