The Children’s Rosary held a cross-country event involving parishes in South Africa, Lesotho and Scotland on June 9.
Children from Charles Borromeo parish in Victory Park, Johannesburg, Mohales Hoek in Lesotho, and a Glasgow parish joined via Zoom to say the Sorrowful Mystery.
“The children from Scotland, Lesotho and South Africa were brilliant,” said Gail Walters, South African coordinator of the Children’s Rosary.
“The children were very focused and showed no fear, confusion or issues. Those from Victory Park were excited and full of joy to meet the children from Lesotho and Scotland — and, more importantly, to say the rosary with them.”
US-based Dr Blythe Kaufman, founder of the Children’s Rosary, “helped maintain the connection between the countries, and the children worked extremely well with her Zoom presence and hosting”, Walters said.
The Children’s Rosary movement was introduced in South Africa earlier this year. According to local coordinator Gail Walters, the response has been enthusiastic.
