Sacred Liturgy and Miracles Unpacked at Maputsoe Eucharistic Exhibition

Eucharistic Miracle exhibition at St Luke-Salesian Mission in Diocese of Leribe

The faithful of St Luke Salesian Mission in the Diocese of Leribe, Lesotho, were treated to a profound spiritual banquet recently when Mammuso Elizabeth Makoa, a dedicated pilgrim from the Diocese of Witbank, brought the acclaimed Vatican International Exhibition: The Eucharistic Miracles of the World to the parish.

The historic event, curated under the heavenly legacy of Blessed Carlo Acutis, drew clergy and laity from across diocesan borders to deepen their devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

Reflecting on the immense success of the spiritual gathering, Ms Makoa expressed her profound gratitude to the distinguished guest speakers who travelled from neighbouring archdioceses. Through their theological insights and pastoral zeal, these priests beautifully fortified the local Church against modern-day impiety.

Clergy from the Archdiocese of Maseru Anchor the Faithful in Liturgical Reverence

Father Patrick Matsau, OMI

  • The Appreciation: Ms. Makoa expressed her deepest gratitude to Father Matsau for serving as an esteemed speaker whose powerful presentation deeply moved the local community and enkindled a renewed love for the Blessed Sacrament.
  • His Contribution: He expertly guided the faithful through Ecclesia de Eucharistia, the final encyclical of Pope St. John Paul II. His session brilliantly illuminated the central mystery of our faith, reminding all present that the Holy Eucharist remains the “source and summit of the Christian life.”

Father Julius Suoane Letsoela, OMI

  • The Appreciation: In an age increasingly marked by secularism and irreverence, Ms. Makoa extended her profound thanks to Father Letsoela for speaking so boldly. She commended his timely message, which beautifully anchored the parishioners in the absolute truth of Catholic tradition.
  • His Contribution: He led a transformative session titled, “Reverence and Rites: Exploring how clear symbols, sacred music, and careful adherence to liturgical norms elevate worship.” Father Letsoela left the congregation with an enduring pastoral reminder: at the Holy Mass, we are divinely chosen guests and should always behave as invitees.

Father Thabang MacDonald Ntsane

  • The Appreciation: Ms. Makoa offered a special thank you to Father Ntsane for delivering a dynamic session that resonated powerfully with the youth and modern media consumers alike. She offered prayers that Blessed Carlo Acutis may intercede for his youthful priesthood and media ministry always.
