SAINTS
In Catholicism, saints are not worshipped; rather, they are revered as holy men and women who lived lives of heroic virtue and are now definitively in heaven with God. They serve three primary roles for the faithful on earth:
Spiritual Companions and Patrons: Many saints are designated as patrons over specific occupations, life circumstances, or countries, offering a sense of personal connection and spiritual guardianship to believers facing similar paths.
Models of Christian Living: Saints provide real-world examples of how to live out the Gospel in diverse situations, professions, and cultures, proving that holiness is attainable.
Intercessors and Advocates: Catholics pray, asking saints to intercede or pray to God on their behalf, much like asking a trusted friend on earth to pray for you.
