Sacred Heart College Heart Apart STEAM festival
Sacred Heart College’s High School held a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) festival on 30 September.
The festival, the High School’s curriculum highlight, offered an exciting day where the curriculum had been enriched and the students all enjoyed creative workshops. Students had the opportunity to engage with professionals in fields that they may one day go into themselves.
The College’s biennial Sacred Arts Festival (known as the Heart Apart STEAM Festival this year) celebrates the arts and acknowledges the crucial role that creativity and personal expression play in the development and all-round education of our students.
This year the festival aimed to make the head-heart, technology-art connection. The journey involved not only travelling backward but inwards as well, as a means of understanding and making sense of the multiple facets that have brought us to where we are today.
All these aspects were explored through a variety of workshops and activities.
