Passion Play Comes to the Big Screen this Easter
This Easter, Christian audiences are invited to step into the world of ancient Jerusalem and witness the incredible story of Jesus Christ brought to life on the big screen. For the very first time in Africa, The Thorn, a theatrical portrayal of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, will be released in selected cinemas from April 6-10 (see list below).
The Thorn incorporates a combination of performing arts, aerial acrobatics, and performances that have wowed audiences across the US for nearly two decades.
The Thorn features a large-scale cast of both professional and volunteer performers who share in the heart of the message. With their help, the story of love, sacrifice, and redemption is brought to life. The film follows Jesus’ life journey from birth to his miraculous teachings, his arrest and crucifixion, and ultimately, his resurrection. The result is a captivating experience that leads one to laugh, cry, and be moved to one’s core.
