The Southern Cross Visits St Gaspar Bertoni Centre In Pretoria

Not ones to be left behind, The Southern Cross was in attendance at the ordination of two new Stigmatine Fathers on March 25. The ordination was held at the Bertoni Centre, which is a part of St John the Baptist Church in Pretoria North.
Many of the attendants came from various Sub-Saharan African countries including Botswana, Malawi, the DRC and Tanzania. “We don’t have anything like this in Malawi. It would be lovely to be able to have a magazine like The Southern Cross in my country. Perhaps The Southern Cross magazine can look into producing a Malawian edition of the magazine,” an attendant said.
“We will take the copies given to us and show others in Botswana how news about and for the Church is disseminated so wonderfully in South Africa. We hope that The Southern Cross can be replicated in our country,” said a priest from Gaborone in Botswana.
