Brescia House School Odyssey Challenge

For the first time in three years, the Odyssey programme was offered as an option to the Brescia House School Grade 10 and 11 pupils.
The programme saw 14 brave Brescia House School participants embark on perhaps the most remarkable journey of their lives. With the facilitation of Oakhill School in Knysna, the Odyssey programme challenged these young adventurers to push themselves to the limit and traverse 351 km over an 18-day expedition, consisting of 109km of cycling, 214 km of hiking, and 28km of paddling. The participants began their Odyssey on April 11, and on April 29, they completed the journey and arrived back at Oakhill School.

Brescia House School: “The Garden Route of the Western Cape was the perfect backdrop for this incredible journey. The School acknowledges the immense grit and spirit of these students and congratulates them on achieving this enormous endeavour. For these young women, Odyssey was not just another school activity, it was a life-changing experience that they will cherish for a lifetime.”
