Sex is Not a Currency
By James Katende – Let this truth be written plainly on the tablets of your heart. Sex is not a currency.
It is not a tool. It is not a shortcut to success. Never use your body to win favour, opportunity, or acceptance.
And never demand or offer someone else’s body as a prerequisite for help, access, or attention. This deception has trapped too many destinies and buried too many dreams under layers of shame and regret.
Ladies, when you find yourself facing an open door that seems too easy—yet it comes with an unspoken price—walk away. Do not bargain your worth for a paycheck, a promotion, or false protection. You are not a product. You are not an object. You are not a body for hire. You are royalty. You are purpose-built. And you were never meant to exchange yourself for what God already planned to give you freely in His time.
That instinct inside you—that inner knowing when a man’s help carries hidden motives—is God’s whisper of protection. Listen to it. Guard your peace. Not every gift is pure. Some are traps. If you must undress your dignity to gain success, then what you gained was never success at all—it was a prison dressed as a blessing. Never lose sight of who you are in the chase for who you want to be. Your destiny cannot be built on compromise.
And to the men: this is not only a warning to women—it’s a mirror for you, too. If you use your power, your money, or your influence to prey on vulnerability, you are not strong—you are broken. Real strength protects. Real leadership empowers. A man who sees a struggling woman and turns her pain into a platform for his pleasure is not wise—he is dangerous. Let integrity be your standard. Let discipline govern your desires. You were not created to take advantage of those you should protect.
This matter is not about gender; it’s about value. Men also face these pressures. There are men selling their bodies for survival, exchanging their dignity for someone else’s promises. It may feel easier than waiting, but it leads to a deep loss of self. A man who gives away his body to gain favour is still losing, even if the world calls it success. Your identity is not in what you can give physically, but in the strength of your principles, your mind, and your vision.
Understand this: suffering is part of life. Hardship will come. Lack will visit. Delay may frustrate you. But no situation should make you forget who you are. Being broke is hard—but being broken inside is worse. Struggle will pass. Pain will heal. But compromising your body for temporary relief can leave scars that last a lifetime.
To the one reading this who feels trapped—you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve already made that choice. Maybe it wasn’t even fully your decision. Maybe you feel like there’s no turning back. Hear this clearly:
There is grace for you. This is not the end. Your dignity can be restored. Your future is not ruined. Repentance is real. Redemption is possible. But you must choose a new path. You must turn from what once seemed normal and say, “I will never trade myself again.” You are worth far more than you gave away. And God can still use you—purified, not perfect, but surrendered.
This message is a call to both women and men to rise above the culture of using the body as leverage. Let your value be in your heart, your mind, your gifts, your ideas, your work ethic, and your integrity. Your body was never meant to be your strategy. You were made in the image of God—not in the image of desperation or seduction.
To every woman: You do not need to lay down to rise up.
To every man: You do not need to conquer bodies to feel worthy.
To every soul: Your future is far too precious to be built on compromise.
Stand in truth. Walk in purpose. Live in honour. And let God elevate you—in His way, in His time.
