Do We Learn from the Life of Jesus and Put It into Practice?
By James Katende – Jesus didn’t just come to die for us—He came to show us how to live. His life wasn’t only a path to salvation; it was a model for transformation. In everything He said and did, Jesus gave us a blueprint for how to walk in God’s will, love others, and live with eternal perspective.
He forgave when it was hard. He loved when it was costly. He served when He could have demanded to be served. He spent time in prayer, walked in humility, and lived with unwavering obedience to the Father—even unto death. Every step of His life was intentional and sacrificial.
Learning from Jesus means doing more than quoting His words—it means embodying them. It means loving our enemies, caring for the broken, resisting temptation, and putting others before ourselves. It means choosing the narrow road, living with compassion, and staying faithful in the quiet seasons. He didn’t just tell us how to live; He showed us.
And through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to follow His example. We don’t do it perfectly—but we do it intentionally. The more we learn from Jesus, the more we begin to reflect Him. Our goal isn’t just admiration—it’s imitation. Because the world doesn’t just need to hear about Jesus; it needs to see Him through us.
