There’s a Price You Must Pay for the Kingdom
By James Katende – The Kingdom of God is free yet it is not cheap. Salvation is a gift, but walking in the fullness of the Kingdom demands sacrifice, discipline, and surrender. Every man God uses greatly has paid a price quietly. Every destiny that shines publicly has endured private dealings with God.
Jesus said: If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. Luke 9:23
The Kingdom requires men and women who are willing to lay something down so that God can lift them up. You cannot hold on to comfort and still carry the cross. You cannot cling to the world and still walk in divine purpose. The path to Kingdom greatness has a cost, but the reward is eternal. Paul understood this when he said, “I count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ.” Philippians 3:8
To rise in the Kingdom, something in you must die.
To gain spiritual authority, something must be surrendered.
To walk in power, something must be sacrificed.
Four Prices You Must Pay for the Kingdom
- The Price of Self-Denial
You cannot serve God effectively without dying to your own desires, preferences, and ambitions. He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30. Self must bow before destiny rises.
- The Price of Consistent Prayer and Intimacy
Spiritual power does not come casually. You must pay the price of seeking God relentlessly. Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Every man who carries Kingdom fire built it on the altar of prayer.
- The Price of Obedience, Even When It Hurts
Obedience is costly, sometimes it goes against logic, comfort, and the expectations of people. To obey is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22. Obedience opens doors that effort cannot.
- The Price of Holiness and Separation
You cannot walk with God and walk with darkness at the same time. Holiness is not old-fashioned; it is Kingdom culture. Come out from among them and be separate. 2 Corinthians 6:17. God empowers those who keep themselves consecrated. There is a price to pay. But the Glory that follows the price is greater than anything the world can give. For our light affliction is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17
Pay the price.
Carry the cross.
Live for the Kingdom.
Your reward is eternal, and your impact will echo through generations.
