Salt+Light’s Vatican Connections
Vatican Connections is a half hour, “Vatican affairs” program, bringing viewers up to date on what has been happening inside the Vatican walls every week. Produced in partnership with Catholic News Service’s Rome Bureau, the program offers a comprehensive look at the decision being made, the people making those decisions, and the Roman history of the Church. On February 11, 2013 when Pope Benedict XVI announced his decision to resign his petrine ministry, Vatican Connections became a go-to source for information about what was happening at that unprecedented moment.
With a new pope, eager to reach out to those on the margins, and touch the hearts of those in the centre of the church, Vatican Connections is more in demand than ever. The second season will follow the changes and reforms being rolled out by Pope Francis, bring you more exclusive interviews with people who can explain what those changes are and why they matter, and continue to expose you to the rich history of Rome, which shaped our church more than we realize.
