Southern Cross Pilgrimage – in Italy
On the last leg of their journey the Southern Cross Pilgrims travelled to Italy and visited Giovanni Rotundo, the place of Padre Pio and the monastery of Monte Cassino. Their final Mass was celebrated at the tomb of St Peter’s basilica.

Shortly after arriving in Italy the group had Mass in the crypt of the basilica of the monastery of Monte Cassino, where St Benedict founded the Benedictine Order in 529.
