Kindness: Animals Made by God Too
Thérèse Hurly, Durban – Recently I saw a recent post on Facebook of the traditional cruel practices involving bulls, and the way animals are abused, in Spain.
The person posting it noted, those abusing the animals were Catholics!
Why doesn’t Pope Francis, our best pope ever, speak out on the shocking animal cruelty in Spain, where most people are Catholics, and call all people to treat animals with love and respect, as they also belong to and were made by God?
All over the world, human greed is causing animal suffering.
As Catholics, we should always try to follow Jesus’ ways, to be good and kind to all God’s creatures. Unfortunately many don’t care.
Please can this issue be addressed and maybe forwarded to those in high positions in the Church, to start preaching on this subject? It should be part of our doctrine.
