Orientation Day at Holy Family College in Durban
Grade 11’s at Holy Family College Durban hosted this year’s Grade 7 Orientation Day with a difference. The day rightly started with a prayer and an enlightening presentation in the Chapel.
Grade 8 learner, Amanda Magwaza, spoke so beautifully when addressing learners and staff. Amanda shared what the biblical Armour of God means to her. The Armour of God is described as follows in Ephesians: loins girded with the truth (belt of truth), the breastplate of righteousness, shoes with the preparation of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit/word of God.

Learners enjoyed a choir presentation on the field followed by subject demonstrations by Grade 11 learners. Social distancing and wearing masks, learners walked from table to table, viewing what each High School subject has to offer. This was followed by some light-hearted entertainment, closing in prayer.
