Marking the start of Holy Week, Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem before his death and Resurrection as detailed in John 12:12-19. On this Sunday, palms are distributed and the Mass has the Passion reading taken from (Year A this year) Matthew’s gospel.
