Grade 11 learners, Sanelisiwe Mthembu and Olwethu Madlala, made a huge contribution to The Sweethearts Foundation Tops & Tags collection. This outreach initiative will run throughout the year – community drop off welcome – please leave your tops and tags at Holy Family College in Durban’s school security gate (2 Convent Close, Glenmore) or contact for more information.
Through schools, a significant amount of bread tags and plastic bottle tops are collected and then recycled by local recycling companies. Depending on the recycling company the Sweethearts Foundation are either provided with standard adult wheelchairs or funds which are put towards obtaining specialised wheelchairs.
450 kg Tops = 1 standard adult wheelchair
50 kg Tags = 1 standard adult wheelchair
