Holy Family College History Class Makes Parachutes

Holy Family College Grade 12 History Learners made parachutes and launched them as part of an activity on a section they recently covered – The Cold War.  During lessons on the Cold War (1945-1991), Grade 12 History learners discovered that during the Berlin Blockade and Airlift, the USA dropped supplies (food, fuel & medicine) using parachutes to West Berliners who were cut off in East Germany.
