Holy Family College Supports 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day

67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day, founded by social entrepreneur Carolyn Steyn, encourages people across the world to knit or crochet blankets to keep needy people warm, in honour of Madiba, and linking in with Nelson Mandela Day and the 67 Minutes initiative, driven by The Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Holy Family College Durban will proudly be hosting 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day on 10 June 2023 at 11:00. We would like to encourage parents and families of surrounding schools to participate in this wonderful event by knitting a blanket, donating wool or contributing toward wool. The size of the blankets should be: 120 x 150 or 160 x 180 or if knitting squares, 20 x 20 or 40 x 40 – double knit or charity wool.
