Learn to Live School of Skills – First Ever Market Day 25 March

The Learn to Live School of Skills is hosting a Market Day at the Salesian Institute Youth Projects in Somerset Road, Green Point, Cape Town, on Saturday, March 25. The event will run from 9:00-14:00.
The Market Day is primarily aimed at exposing learners to innovative thinking and developing entrepreneurial skills. They plan and execute a business plan, calculate cost and price, and determine profit. Exposing the students to real life-like experiences, risk and failure will prepare learners for their as-yet-unknown future.
The Learn to Live School of Skills is a four-year programme which educated learners aged 14-18 from disadvantaged backgrounds through project-based learning methodologies, preparing them for the world of work.
Several stalls will sell food, arts & crafts, leather goods, books, bric & brac, and plants.
Learners will sell items they have made in class or in workshops, do henna painting, and offer games and raffles.
The Learn to Live School of Skills invites people to come and support them, not only to help them practice their entrepreneurial skills but also to fundraise for their school. Refreshments will be sold.
Free Entrance and ample parking available.
