St Teresa’s Senior Primary and High School in Rosebank took part in the annual Catholic Schools Primary and High Schools Cross Country at La Salle College on June 10 against La Salle College, McAuley House, Marist Brothers, Veritas College, De La Salle, Sacred Heart, St Dominic’s School, St Catherine’s School and Holy Family College.

The conditions were not ideal as it was cold and exceptionally windy. The Senior Primary Schools ran first, followed by the High Schools. The course was rather challenging giving the runners a taste of uphills, sharp turns, downhills and flat sections. Good pacing, endurance and perseverance were prerequisites to a strong finish.

Well done to all those who participated and congratulations to the following Rosie runners who finished in the Top 10:
Primary School:
Katelyn Kruger 1st (Grade 7)
Anna Bezuidenhout 4th (Grade 4)
Emma Gallant-Da Silva 5th (Grade 6)
Kiana Kalpage 6th (Grade 6)
High School:
Tyra Penn 5th(Grade 8)
St Teresa’s Senior Primary School finished in second position out of the Primary Schools.
