Fr Natalis Majoli: 65 Years of Priesthood and 91 Years Old!
Father Natalis Majoli (centre) celebrated the 65th anniversary of his ordination as well as his 91st birthday.
Bishop Thadeus Kumalo of Eshowe (right) conducted the jubilee Mass in St Benedict’s cathedral, with many priests of the diocese joining him.
Bishop Kumalo presented Fr Majoli with a certificate confirming Pope Francis’ special blessing. He noted that Fr Majoli may well be the oldest Catholic priest in active service in South Africa.
The Zululand District mayor read out a lengthy letter from Chief Gatsha Buthelezi, a lifelong friend, and presented Fr Majoli with an Nguni cow hide.
