Heritage Day at Holy Family College in Durban
Heritage Day was celebrated at Holy Family College Durban in September. “South Africans are encouraged to celebrate their culture and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions, in the wider context of a nation that belongs to all its people.” Learners wore beautiful and bright traditional outfits while adhering to Covid 19 protocol and wearing masks.
“Sometimes it is impossible to know where you are headed without reflecting on where you came from. Understanding your heritage, your roots and your ancestry is an important part of carving out your future.”
At Holy Family College, we pride ourselves in producing well-rounded young people, with a keen understanding of the world at large. Our learners are not just academically prepared, but also spiritually, emotionally and physically. As a Catholic school, we believe in grounding our learners in a value-based ethos and providing them with the tools to embrace their own individuality, as well as that of others.
