Holy Family College Visits Durban Holocaust and Genocide Centre

On Thursday, 27 May, Grade 9 learners visited the Durban Holocaust and Genocide Centre (DHGC). Grade 9 History focuses on World War II and the Holocaust as part of the Term 1 & 2 syllabus and learners were able to experience History outside the classroom setting.
They went on a tour of the museum and had the opportunity to learn more about individual Jewish South African survivors of the Holocaust. The DHGC’s facilitators and tour guides were impressed by our learner’s knowledge of WWII and the Holocaust and visitors to the Centre commended their good manners.
