Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School hosted a Charity Fundraiser, the Ascot Race Day to collect money for Youth Day Celebration 2022.
Grade 10, 11 and 12 students were given the opportunity to host tables with their family members and what a sophisticated affair it was – beautifully decorated tables, scrumptious eats and to fit in with the theme, outrageous looking hats!
We would like to thank the Marimba Group, Daniella and Gabriella Koch (Grade 10), Zandile Msimango and Ntandoyenkosi Kwinda (Grade 12), as well as Mihla de Oliveira (Grade 10) for entertaining us with their amazing performances.
Mrs Hurford and Ms Rieker, High School Teachers, judged the best table and the best hat which was a very close contest! A big thank you goes to all our sponsors, who so generously contributed the amazing hampers and prizes. All monies raised will go towards our 2022 Youth Day Celebration. “We thank our teachers, our parents and our students for really getting into the theme and making it an event to remember!”, said Mrs Chantal Gunning, HOD Economic Management Science and Grade 8 Grade Head.
