Michael Kenneth Van Noie, Rest in Peace

Michael Kenneth Van Noie – February 2 1949 – July 6 2022
A great supporter of The Southern Cross has passed away at the age of 73.
Michael van Noie of Rocklands, Cape Town, died on July 6. He was married to Charlotte for 52 years. He leaves behind six children, 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mr van Noie was a very active parishioner of St Stephen’s in Rocklands, which is part of Mitchells Plain. He was an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, proclaimer, catechism coordinator and teacher, baptism class instructor, and funeral minister. He belonged to the Legion of Mary and to the Charismatic group.
He was also an avid seller of The Southern Cross for many years. “For years he would collect the newspaper, every week and month, from our office in Cape Town. He truly was a great supporter of The Southern Cross,” said Pamela Davids, business manager of the publication.
Mr van Noie was also a captain of the Golden Oaks rugby team in Mamré.
