The Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Parish in Cambridge, East London erected a portico outside their church with a newly-added cross to complete it. The portico, erected around 18 months ago, has enhanced the Church, also providing shelter during inclement weather. A cross has been made to complete the portico.
The cross design has symbols:
At the edges of the cross are buds indicating life. Life comes to the cross through the Holy Spirit. The patterns on the cross are the wings of the Holy Spirit. There are two fish as Jesus multiplied fish and bread for the hungry people, thus people are satisfied by Jesus as spiritual food. In 2019 the church had a beautiful mural painted behind the altar
