St Teresa’s School visits Friends of Rescued Animals
The Grade 7s at St Teresa’s Senior Primary School in Rosebank kicked off Term 2 with a heartwarming visit to Friends of Rescued Animals, (FOR A) in Tarlton, Krugersdorp.
This meaningful excursion provided them with an enriching experience filled with compassion and learning and stands as the focal point of our Grade 7 outreach project.
Throughout the year, our Rosies collect essential items such as pet food, leads, toys, blankets, and cleaning products, which they deliver to FORA bi-annually Their dedication extends beyond mere donations. During their visit, they interacted with the furry residents of FORA, including playful puppies, dogs awaiting homes, and affectionate cats and kittens. They walk with the dogs, engage in playful activities, and even lend a hand in grooming the cats and kittens.
Operating under challenging circumstances, FORA remains steadfast in its mission to rescue and care for animals in need within their local community. From neglected cases to rescues from puppy mills, FORA provides a safe haven for these animals, ensuring they receive love, care, and attention. Unlike many other organisations, FORA does not euthanise animals after a certain period; instead, they offer them a loving home or sanctuary for the rest of their days.

FORA is located at Plot 11 Reydal, Tarlton, and welcomes visitors Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm, and Sunday from 9 am to 12 pm.
