A Blessed Day at St Benedict the Black Parish in Sebokeng

By Thoko Malinga – St Benedict the Black Parish in Zone 3, Sebokeng, celebrated a joyous occasion as 28 children received their First Holy Communion on  November 24. Under the guidance of Parish Priest Fr Sandile Madotyeni, the young communicants approached the altar with hearts full of devotion, marking a significant step in their spiritual journey.

This special event coincided with the solemn celebration of Christ the King Sunday, a feast that invites all Catholics to reflect on the sovereignty of Christ in our lives. The parish community gathered in unity, offering prayers of thanksgiving and support for the children as they were welcomed into the Eucharistic table of the Church.

The day was filled with grace, as families and parishioners witnessed this momentous occasion, reinforcing the importance of faith, community, and the love of Christ at the heart of St Benedict’s mission.
