The Neocatechumenal Way team responsible for Southern Africa recently visited Cardinal Stephen Brislin, Archbishop of Johannesburg, in an atmosphere of great brotherhood and ecclesial communion.

During the meeting, they recalled the numerous missions held in the squares of South Africa in recent years, significant moments of Gospel proclamation that have left a profound mark on local communities.

The dialogue then turned to the future, with an open eye to new evangelisation and missionary projects, a sign of renewed momentum in spreading the faith. Dino Furgione also expressed his full willingness to actively collaborate in facilitating the apostolic visit of the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, to South Africa.

At the end of the meeting, before imparting the apostolic blessing, the Cardinal was honoured with a symbolic gift: the icon of the Good Shepherd, painted by the founder of the Neocatechumenal Way, Kiko Argüello, a sign of communion and gratitude for the welcome received.
