Little Eden Society officially opened their new Charity Shop Depot and refurbished Business Development Department offices. The momentous occasion was marked with a special blessing by Father Jonathan Petersen OMI of St Therese Church in Edenvale, with the assistance of Brother Gabriel Shivolo OMI.

In her welcoming address, Xelda Rohrbeck, CEO of Little Eden, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support the Organisation has received in their mission to provide Love and Care to their 300 residents with profound intellectual disability. She emphasised the significance of the new structures in bolstering their efforts to ensure quality care for their residents.

“The newly constructed Charity Shop Depot will serve to sort and store valuable donations received from the community. The refurbished Business Development Department building will provide a fitting workspace for the team responsible for fundraising activities for the well-being of the residents,” she added.

Rohrbeck further expressed gratitude towards an anonymous overseas donor whose sizeable contribution significantly facilitated in the construction of the new and upgraded structures across both Homes.

The Society acknowledges the profound difference that every donation, regardless of size, can make in the lives of those cared for by the Organisation. Through their encouragement, Little Eden calls upon the community to unite in creating a society where individuals with profound intellectual disabilities are empowered, cherished, and afforded the opportunity to reach their full potential.
