The Benedictine Oblates of Inkamana Abbey in Vryheid attended the Benedictine Oblates 5th World Congress in Rome on 9-15 September with the theme “living the wisdom of the Rule”. It was the first time South Africa was represented at the Congress. Attending was Abbot Emeritus Dennis Ndomba, Director of the Oblates, Seipa Dhlamini (OblSB) from the Archdiocese of Bloemfontein, Carroll Smith (OblSB), from the Archdiocese of Durban, and Dimakatso Faith Mofammere (OblSB), from the Diocese of Dundee.
