Doing the Will of God

To do the Will of God

By James Katende – Doing the will of God isn’t always easy—but it is always right. It may cost us comfort, approval, or convenience, but it always leads to purpose, peace, and eternal reward. The will of God is not just about destination—it’s about daily direction. It’s about choosing obedience over opinion, purpose over popularity, and holiness over hype.

Jesus said in John 4:34, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work.”That is the heartbeat of true discipleship: finding our fulfilment in God’s will. It’s not about what makes us feel good in the moment; it’s about what brings God glory in the long run.

Sometimes God’s will leads us through storms, but it never leaves us there. Sometimes it calls us out of the familiar, but always into the fruitful. To do the will of God means to trust Him enough to say yes, even when you don’t understand. It means to live surrendered, to listen when He speaks, and to move when He calls.

The will of God is not a mystery to be feared—it is a journey to be walked, one faithful step at a time. And when we align our lives with His will, we find that we are not just surviving, we are thriving in the fullness of His purpose.
