The Birth of Virgin Mary

Today we celebrate the most sacred and glorious birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the one chosen by God to carry the Light of the world, Jesus Christ.

Her birth was not ordinary but divinely appointed. From the moment she entered the world, Heaven rejoiced and the earth was graced with a vessel of holiness, humility, and unwavering faith. Her life was not about titles or applause but about surrender and obedience. She became the bridge between Heaven and Earth, the woman through whom salvation stepped into time. Her yes to God changed history forever. Today we do not merely mark a date on the calendar, we honor a life that still speaks, still leads, and still inspires.

Virgin Mary was not known for earthly power or possessions. She was not raised in luxury or trained by scholars, yet she carried in her womb the Word made flesh. She had no palace, yet she was Queen of Heaven. She had no army, yet she was feared by hell. Her power was in her purity, her strength was in her surrender, and her beauty was in her belief. She trusted when it made no sense. She obeyed without full understanding. She followed when the path was unclear. She bore pain with grace, endured shame with silence, and walked through sorrow with eyes fixed on God. What a woman of divine stature. What a soul of unmatched devotion.

As we celebrate her birth, we must not only admire her but learn from her. In a world filled with noise and pride, Mary teaches us the power of quiet obedience. In a generation chasing fame and status, she shows us the glory of humility. In times when hearts are hard and faith is shallow, her life reminds us that purity and surrender still matter. She gave birth to the Saviour, but we are called to reveal the Saviour through how we live, how we love, and how we lead. We are not called to worship Mary, we are called to follow her example and go even further in devotion, in power, and in purpose.

We must become a generation that says yes to God with the same boldness, but with even greater reach. She was chosen to raise the Messiah. We are chosen to spread His gospel to the ends of the earth. She stood at the foot of the cross. We are called to carry the cross daily and walk in resurrection power. She watched Him die. We proclaim that He lives. She was filled with the Spirit at Pentecost. We are filled to overflow. If she could do what she did under the old covenant, how much more can we do under the new covenant sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ.

Her birth is not just a memory. It is a mirror. A reflection of what God can do with a life fully surrendered. A reminder that greatness is not measured by applause but by obedience. A testimony that God still chooses the humble, still lifts the lowly, and still works wonders through the willing. Today we do not just thank God for her birth. We rise to the challenge of living lives worthy of the calling we have received. If she could say yes, so can we. If she could trust through pain, so can we. If she could change the world with one decision, so can we.

Let us celebrate Mary not with empty words but with passionate lives. Let us rise in power, walk in purpose, and love with purity. Let us be filled with the same Spirit that overshadowed her. Let us birth not children of the flesh but fruits of the Spirit. Let us shake the world not with noise but with holiness. Let us be a generation so surrendered to God that Heaven once again rejoices as it did on the day Mary was born.
