The St Kizito children’s group at St Mary Magdalene parish in Lentegeur, Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, celebrated its tenth year. Facilitator Isabel Oliver said that, with 15 volunteers, they now care for 58 children, taking them on excursions, providing meals and parties, as well as organising the annual Secret Santa box. The group celebrated the anniversary with a dinner for volunteers and benefactors. Archdiocese of Cape Town facilitator Wayne Golding opened proceedings.
