Wear a purple mask over Holy Week as a show of solidarity and compassion for those who have died and are suffering.
Denis Hurley Centre in association with many of the city’s churches and Christian organisations are leading a hybrid concept to give Christians across Durban, from a range of denominations and traditions, a way of collectively marking Holy Week (Monday 29 March to Saturday 3 April).
Online material is being created as a resource for prayer and contemplation by a range of churches in different parts of Durban and focus on different themes of suffering.

The much-loved annual Diakonia Good Friday Service and Procession will not be taking place this year; instead Diakonia Council of Churches will be organising a symbolic Good Friday action.
