The Church has recognised certain people as saints, stating with confidence that they are in Heaven and able to intercede on our behalf before God. Even if we don’t feel comfortable addressing our prayers to saints, these are amazing role models for us as Christians and their lives make up the rich history of our Church. We can take comfort that these saints have gone through just as much as we have and they are specially linked to our modern-day problems as patron saints.
