St Anne’s Catholic Church in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria, hosted a family day to celebrate the Feast of St Anne and Joachim with parishioners and parish priest Fr Ernest Banda CP. The parish has a rich history of women’s participation in the life of the Church. The Catholic Women’s Association (CWA), an organisation mainly prevalent in the archdiocese of Pretoria, was founded by its women parishioners in 1968.
