Youth at St Kevin’s parish in Windvogel, Port Elizabeth, recently held their annual Pudding Afternoon with an 80’s Theme. There were a variety of desserts and entertainment. The highlight being the youths’ representation in the Catholic Church. It is important to note that youth can experience fun and entertainment within the spaces of the church!

Church is not as complex and dull as it appears to some youth and the younger generation. This fundraiser also indicated the youths’ ability to be self-sufficient and not only rely on their parents or guardians to support them financially, when it comes to running youth activities and events.
The pudding afternoon was well supported by both old and young. Parishioners forgot that the next day would be Monday and that they should prepare for work. The success of the event is all thanks to God and the teamwork of the youth who played a vital role in seeing that the event was well-organised and supported.
