Salesian Missionary Br Fidele Mandemba Moseka SDB made his Final Profession at All Saints Parish in Ennerdale on Holy Trinity Sunday, presided over by the Provincial of Southern Africa, Fr Vaclav Klement SDB and concelebrated with 8 Salesian priests.

The joint Youth Choir of the 3 Salesian churches, with the presence of five Salesian Family groups and members of the Congolese Catholic community, made for a lively Mass celebration.

In his homily, Fr Klement expressed thanks for the gift of the Salesian missionary vocation in this special Jubilee Year of Salesian Missions, and explained the gift of consecrated life for the whole Catholic Church and especially for the young people.

Don Bosco’s frequent invitation to all: Give your heart completely to Jesus! – was a final touch. After a solemn litany of Saints and Final profession of Fidele Mandemba, four signs of this life-long commitment to God, his Church and to the Young people were given to Br Moseka: a Salesian Cross with the image of Jesus as Good Shepherd, a candle with the words of Don Bosco ‘Strive to be loved’, a Salesian Family Identity Charter and a small statue of the Good Shepherd.

Br Moseka will continue his second year of theological studies in Don Bosco Utume, Nairobi, Kenya, in August 2025.
