Crying Children in Mass: Common Sense is Relative

The question raised in the letter “Why shouldn’t kids be in church” is possibly very pertinent. There is no doubt that children should be introduced to church participation at an early age and be taught the Catholic religion. I, however, have reservations as to the implementation thereof.

More than a year ago, my daughter’s divorced husband suddenly began action for custody of their 23-year-old mentally challenged daughter, after 20 years of apparently friendly separation. A legal battle ensued and we began praying to Our Lady for a just settlement.
