Is God at the Centre of our Choices?

By James Katende – Is God at the centre of our choices?  This question is fundamental to the way we live out our faith. Choosing God is not merely about acknowledging His existence but about aligning our lives with His will and trusting in His plan for us.

Every decision we make, from the smallest to the most significant, reflects our commitment to God. The challenge lies in the constant pull of the world, which offers alternatives that may seem more immediate or appealing.

To make the right choice, we must seek wisdom from God’s Word, listen to His voice in our hearts, and remember that His guidance is always available. Choosing rightly requires faith and a willingness to surrender our own desires for the greater good He has prepared for us.

Making the right choices regarding God also involves recognising the truth that He is sovereign and that His understanding far surpasses ours. In our human limitations, it is easy to mistake our desires for what is best. But God, in His perfect wisdom, knows what will bring us true fulfilment and peace.

When we struggle with making decisions, it is vital to look to Him for strength and clarity, trusting that He will lead us to paths of righteousness.
