A Healing Mass was held at St Francis of Assisi parish in Vanderbijlpark. Neighbouring parishes were invited and there was an excellent turnout of about 230. It was an eye-opener to so many regarding the correlation between Confession and healing of spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Fr Joseph Wilson blessed the sacramentals (e.g. rosaries, candles, water, oil, salt, etc.) which were placed on the altar and explained how to use them. The experience of Praise and Worship and the laying of hands during Mass added to the prayerful atmosphere. As St Augustine said: “He who sings, prays twice.” Many testimonies have since been shared.
