Fr Elvis Komane (right) was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Giuseppe Sandri of Witbank (left). The ordination Mass was held in the new priest’s home community at St Andrew’s church in Longtill in the parish of Steelpoort, a mining town in Limpopo province, on the border with Mpumalanga. The mission and its outstations fall under the diocese of Witbank. Fr Komane, who was born in Stocking village, studied at St John Vianney Seminary in Pretoria.
